About the Forge

Real stories from 25+ years in the trenches. No vendor hype. Just what works.

The Journey from Testing Theater to Quality Reality

I've been in IT for over 25 years—started as a computer repair technician in the '90s, became a teacher, taught myself programming, eventually landed in quality engineering, and now I'm building the bridge between classical QE and what I call Agentic QE.

The Quality Forge isn't just a website. It's where I document what actually works when you try to evolve quality practices from testing-as-activity to agents-as-orchestrators. No sugar-coating. No vendor pitches. Just real implementation stories from production environments.

What I Believe

  • Quality is contextual - There are no universal best practices, only good practices in specific contexts
  • Quality is built in, not tested in - Testing finds problems; engineering prevents them
  • Agents augment, don't replace - Agentic QE means human+AI collaboration with explainability at every step
  • Fast feedback loops are essential - From seconds (unit tests) to days (customer feedback)
  • Production is the ultimate test environment - Everything else is practice

The Foundation: Classical QE That Still Works

I practice what I call the Holistic Testing Model—quality across all dimensions, not just the happy path. That means:

  • Testing in Production: Observability, monitoring, feature flags, canary releases
  • Shift-Left Testing: Requirements analysis, design reviews, threat modeling
  • Testing Across Boundaries: API contracts, integration points, data flows
  • Non-Functional Focus: Performance, security, accessibility from day one
  • Context-Driven Approach: Adapt practices to the situation, not dogma

I blend TDD (both London and Chicago schools), XP practices (especially pair/ensemble programming), and Rapid Software Testing. These aren't old practices—they're foundations that evolve when you add agentic principles on top.

The Evolution: PACT Principles

Agentic QE isn't about replacing testers with AI. It's about evolving how we orchestrate quality through PACT principles:

Proactive

Anticipate risks and test before they become problems. Agents forecast failures, not just react to them.

Autonomous

Self-executing test flows with explainability. Agents make decisions but always explain their reasoning.

Collaborative

Agents work with developers, ops, and other agents. Testing becomes orchestration, not gatekeeping.

Targeted

Risk-focused testing. Apply effort where bugs hide and hurt, not everywhere equally.

The Mission: Serbian Agentic Foundation

In October 2025, I founded Quantum Quality Engineering and started building the Serbian Agentic Foundation—the first community of its kind in the Balkans. We meet monthly at StartIt centers across Serbia, learning together about quality in the AI age.

I'm also a member of the global Agentics Foundation, bringing PACT principles and frameworks to the quality engineering space.

What You'll Find Here

The Forge is where I share:

  • Implementation Stories: Real deployments of agentic testing systems—what worked, what failed
  • Reality Checks: Measuring actual AI testing effectiveness vs. vendor promises
  • Sentinel Project: Open-source multi-agent testing framework (Rust + Python)
  • Community Updates: Serbian Agentic Foundation meetups, learnings, growth
  • Framework Development: PACT principles applied to real testing challenges

Why "The Forge"?

Because quality isn't found—it's forged. Through heat, pressure, deliberate crafting. Through tests that fail and teach. Through agents that learn and improve. Through communities that share and grow together. Quality is forged in the fire of production, shaped by real constraints, tempered by honest feedback.
